How to insert equations and formulas in word 2010

Hello everyone ! today I am gonna show you how to insert equations in word 2010.

Follow the steps below to insert an equation or formula in word 2010:
  1. Open Word 2010.
  2. Click on insert menu and choose equations from top right corner

    3. It will open a drop down, there are only a few common formulas and equations in the dropdown, so if the formula or equation is not there click on insert new equation at the bottom of the drop down.
    4. It will open the equation tools panel where you can choose different options for symbols, fractions, scripts, operators etc.

How to Zoom Content in Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer

Some time the content on web pages is in small font size and is difficult to read. You can quickly zoom it to read it with ease.

These shortcut key are applicable to firefox, Chrome and on Internet Explorer as well.

If you are using windows,
  •  press Ctrl and + key together to zoom the content.
  • press Ctrl and - key together to zoom out, and
  • press Ctrl and 0 to revert to the normal state.
If you are using Mac,
  •  press Command and + key together to zoom the content.
  • press Command and - key together to zoom out, and
  • press Command and 0 to revert to the normal state.

Install Ubuntu from flash drive

If you want to give a try to Ubuntu or if you don't wanna burn a CD/DVD to install Ubuntu, you can install it through USB Flash Drive.

Prerequisites:
  1. Ubuntu ISO image - get the latest versionof Ubuntu here if you dont already have an image.
  2. USB Flash Drive - 2 GB or more.
  3. Universal USB Installer - Get it from here
Now when you have all the above mentioned three things with you, follow the steps below.
  1. Open Universal USB Installer.


  2. Select the distribution from the dropdown menu.
  3. Browse the iso image you downloaded.
  4. Choose the drive letter of USB disk. (be careful, choosing wrong drive may cost you loss in data.)
  5. If you want to make it Persistent (click here to know more about persistent install) select the persistent file size, otherwise leave it.
   6. When you are done with all above steps click on create.


   7.  It will install Ubuntu on your flash drive. 

Now boot from USB to give a try or to install Ubuntu on hard disk.
  

How to change autorecover time in Microsoft Word 2010

By Default MS Word2010 saves your documents in every 10 mins for auto-recovery. But some times its not that much helpful. Some people are really fast and can create a few pages in 10 minutes. But what to do if the computer crashes in those 10 minutes interval ? Your information is gone, but don't worry I gonna tell you that how you can change it to less than 10 minutes up-to a minimum of 1 minute.

You need to follow some simple steps:
  1. Open Microsoft Word 2010.
  2. Go to File menu and choose options
 
  
   3. It will open word options window.
   4. Choose Save from the left pane.
   5. Now change the minutes to whatever you want in Save AutoRecover information every -
   6. Click OK and you are done. 



Word will now save the documents in minutes you specified.
